Performers 2009
Author: shelleyTell Mama – She’s Right
Local band, Tell Mama is hosting this event for the fourth year in a row. Take a handful of Melissa Etheridge, stir in some Kathleen Edwards, add a smidgeon of Norah Jones, k.d. Lang and Jann Arden and you are starting to get an idea of the Tell Mama style.
The music can rock and it can swing, it can even get down and mellow or go seriously funk – whatever flavor Tell Mama’s sharing fans always keep coming back for more.
With recognition from the International Songwriting Competition and the Portland Songwriter’s Association Annual Song Contest, you’ve got to know that this group is going to deliver.
The perfect combination of engaging lyrics and insightful composition, Tell Mama has been performing to sold-out shows for six years and, now, is recording their premiere CD, “She’s Right” to celebrate their success and to give the fans what they have long been asking for – a few Tell Mama tunes to go.
